Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how MewMax AI collects, uses, and protects information when you use the MewMax AI iOS app and website. If you have questions, contact us at support@mewmaxai.com.

Information We Collect

  • Face scan photos: the front selfie and side profile images you choose to submit for a FaceScan. These images may show your face, jawline, chin, neck, and surrounding photo context.
  • No biometric identifiers: MewMax AI does not create faceprints, facial recognition templates, face geometry identifiers, biometric authentication profiles, or identity verification records.
  • Onboarding answers: the responses you select when you first open the app, including your age range, gender, the area you want to improve, what you believe is causing it, your goal, relevant daily habits, how often and how long you plan to train, and your target timeframe. You self-report these. MewMax AI does not infer them from your photos.
  • Generated analysis: jawline score, confidence, jawline read, retake guidance, focus areas, and routine guidance.
  • Purchase information: subscription status, product identifiers, and purchase history handled through Apple and Superwall (and RevenueCat for older app versions).
  • Identifiers: an anonymous app user identifier and device or app metadata used for subscription access, analytics, and app functionality.
  • Support information: information you include when contacting support by email.

How We Use Information

We use information to provide the app, generate your jawline score and analysis, personalize your routine, save scan history, verify subscription access, improve reliability, respond to support requests, and meet legal or App Store requirements.

Face Data and AI Processing

Before a FaceScan runs, the app asks you to confirm that the selected face scan photos may be sent for AI processing. If you confirm, MewMax AI sends your compressed front selfie and side profile photo to our backend service, which is hosted on Cloudflare Workers, and then to OpenAI so the app can generate your FaceScan score, written analysis, personalized routine guidance, and retake guidance.

Your onboarding answers are sent with that request and are used only to tailor the written analysis and routine to the goal, training schedule, and timeframe you selected. They are passed along as information you stated about yourself, never as something inferred from your photos.

Face scan photos are used only to provide FaceScan functionality and related product personalization inside MewMax AI. We do not use face scan photos to identify you, authenticate you, recognize you across services, train a MewMax facial recognition system, or determine protected or sensitive traits. Do not upload photos you do not have permission to use.

Sharing with Service Providers

MewMax AI shares face scan photos only with service providers needed to run the FaceScan feature: Cloudflare Workers for backend request processing and OpenAI for AI image analysis. Your onboarding answers go to those same providers only so your analysis and routine can be tailored to them. Face scan photos, onboarding answers, and generated FaceScan analysis are not shared with Superwall, RevenueCat, analytics providers, or advertising partners.

Cloudflare and OpenAI process face scan photos only to provide services to MewMax AI, under their contractual data processing terms. They are required to protect face data with the same or greater level of protection described in this Privacy Policy. OpenAI does not use data sent through its API to train its models. We do not sell face data or share it with any other third party.

Subscriptions

Purchases are processed by Apple. MewMax AI uses Superwall to show subscription offers, verify subscription status, and manage access to Pro features. Older app versions use RevenueCat for the same purpose. We do not receive your full payment card details.

Storage and Retention

The app may store saved FaceScan results and compressed scan photos locally on your device and in your private iCloud/CloudKit account when available. MewMax AI's Cloudflare Worker does not keep a persistent database of face scan photos after the analysis request completes. OpenAI may retain API inputs and outputs for abuse monitoring for up to 30 days, unless a different retention setting applies.

Saved FaceScan history remains available until you delete it from your device and iCloud, as described in the section below. We retain other information only as long as needed to provide the app, comply with obligations, resolve disputes, or support legitimate business needs.

Analytics, Tracking, and Sale of Data

We do not sell personal information. MewMax AI does not use a product analytics provider and does not send app usage events or your onboarding answers to one. MewMax AI uses subscription providers, Superwall and RevenueCat (older app versions only), to show subscription offers, verify subscriptions, and measure how those offers perform. These providers may receive identifiers, purchase metadata, and paywall interaction events, such as when a paywall is shown or closed and any answers you give inside a paywall screen. They do not receive your face scan photos, onboarding answers, or generated FaceScan analysis from MewMax AI.

MewMax AI does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. The app contains no advertising SDK, does not use the Apple advertising identifier (IDFA), and does not ask for App Tracking Transparency permission.

Revoking Consent and Deleting Face Data

Revoking consent:the app asks for your consent before every FaceScan and does not remember a previous answer. To revoke consent, decline the consent screen or stop starting new FaceScans. No face scan photos leave your device unless you confirm. Photos already sent are not kept by MewMax AI's backend, and OpenAI deletes them within 30 days.

Deleting face data on your device: delete the MewMax AI app. This removes all saved FaceScan photos and results stored on that device.

Deleting face data in iCloud: open the Settings app, tap your name, tap iCloud, and open the storage management list. Select MewMax AI and delete its data. To stop future iCloud backups of your scans, turn off iCloud for MewMax AI in the same iCloud settings. This data is in your private iCloud account, so MewMax AI cannot read or delete it for you.

Your Choices

You can revoke consent and delete face data as described above, manage subscriptions in your Apple ID settings, and contact us with privacy questions.

Children

MewMax AI is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
